It is a face to face and oral communication with the potential customer for the purpose of persuading the buyer to buy a particular product or service. Very useful information and thanks for sharing.

So do you think all good marketers have to have face-to-face real world sales experience or can they get good by taking training courses, reading the right books, and other similar methods? Experience trumps reading, IF you know how to pull the lessons from your adventures which most folks do not. Best answer is a combination — read up, but test what you learn in the real world as soon as possible.

Not sure who said it, but this summary has always stuck in my head:. Whereas the better end is the end goal and what the business wants to accomplish — getting someone to buy, sign up, etc. How do you bridge the gap, communicate and work together between what you want to accomplish getting someone to take action and what the designer wants to accomplish a aesthetically pleasing site?

    What makes people leave your website? Move in small steps Where your heading sells the sub heading, your sub heading sells the video, the first few seconds of the video sells the next few seconds of it and so on. Avoid this rookie mistake! A deadline forces you to finish something. Without deadlines, nothing is ever finished and you are in the mercy of an ambiguous and vague finish line that does not exist. There are novelists who put their books out after a decade.

    On the other hand, there are very prolific, really good writers who put books out every year because they set deadlines for themselves. John will often do all the research, make an outline in bullets and then go take a nap and tell himself that when he wakes up he will have a headline and that works for him. This process has been used by successful writers. What makes a top copywriter? How can you tell if a person is a top copywriter and not a average one?
